A Green alternative to sandblasting or pressure washing!

Types of Media

Recycled Consumer Crushed Glass

Crushed glass is manufactured from pre and post consumer recycled container glass. This is an environmentally friendly abrasive since it is non-toxic and intert, and contains no heavy metals. Using crushed glass can help to reduce particle embedment, increase productivity and reduce abrasives usage

Garnet

Garnet can be used in a wide variety of abrasive blasting applications, including blast rooms and shipyards. Because it is a hard and heavy abrasive, garnet can increase productivity while reducing the amount of abrasive used. Useful for profiling, cleaning, and the removal of paint, corrosion, rust, scale

Olivine

Olivine (also known as Green Lightning) is a naturally occurring mineral, green in color. Unlike sand, Olivine is very uniform and has a cutting edge.  Therefore it will remove paint and rust and reduced air pressure. Lower air pressure reduces the change of buildup, warping, pitting, or material distortion. Olivine leaves stripped metal with a perfect profile for paint adhesion.  Olivine contains no free silica.

Glass Beads

Glass beads are chemically inert and manufactured to uniform size and hardness.  An environmentally friendly abrasive, they are perfect for manufacturing processes that require blast cleaning with no free silica or toxins. Glass bead media delivers precise control for peening, cleaning, finishing, and deburring.

Coal Slag

Coal slag will blast off the toughest coatings so you can prepare surfaces right the first time. Achieve the consistent, high quality performance that you demand in a coal slag abrasive. It provides the foundation for coatings that last.

Coal slag is a tough, clean and economical abrasive with less than 1% free silica. It's unique, angular shape and hardness quickly cut away existing coatings. Use coal slag on buildings, tanks, castings, ships, bridges, railroad equipment, structural steel, exposed aggregate and more.

Starblast

DuPont® Starblast® is a sub-angular, general purpose abrasive used in bridge maintenance and steel fabrication to remove rust, mill scale and weathered coatings. Starblast is comprised of the naturally occurring mineral, Staurolite, which has a hardness of 7 Mohs and a bulk density of 130lbs/cu.ft. These attributes provide a low dust blasting environment and more efficient cleaning.

Starblast is a DuPont registered trademark for its blasting abrasives.
